The Evaluation of Medicine and Health (EVALMEDHELSE) is performed by the Research Council of Norway based on the institutions self-assessment of development and performance over the 10-year period 2012-2022.
Evaluation included SUS as a research administrative unit and 9 of the research groups at SUS. The committee members for the evaluation are international experts with broad expertise in the assessment work and are appointed by the Research Council.
Evaluation of EVALMEDHELSE
The committees have reviewed the self-assessment reports from SUS and conducted interviews with the research groups. The feedback is in the form of a report with assessments and recommendations to the institution and each of the research groups.

Self-assessment
The self-assessment report from Stavanger University Hospital (SUS) was designed throughout the autumn and winter of 2023, and submitted in January 2024.
The report submitted by SUS became a 270-page document containing an evaluation of the research administrative unit, 9 research groups and a presentation of five major research projects that have had great significance, so-called "impact cases", in medicine and health.
This forms the basis for the committee's assessments and recommendations, together with interviews with the research groups.
