Nyfødtintensiv

Vi behandler for tidlig fødte og syke nyfødte. Vi tilbyr høyspesialisert medisinsk behandling til de minste premature ned til svangerskapsuke 23. I tillegg til å ta hånd om en betydelig andel premature barn, utreder og behandler vi blant annet nyfødte med medfødte misdannelser, infeksjoner, syndromer, asfyksi (surstoffmangel) og neonatalt abstinenssyndrom.

Vi arbeider ut fra en familiesentrert nyfødtomsorg. Det innebærer at foreldrene skal være hos barnet sitt så mye som mulig og være mest mulig delaktig i omsorgen for barnet. 

Ved nyfødtintensiv arbeider det sykepleiere og leger med spesialkompetanse på premature og syke nyfødte. Vi samarbeider med psykolog, sosionom, fysioterapeut, prest, bioingeniør, radiograf, ernæringsfysiolog og andre.

Det vil bli opprettet et kontaktteam bestående av pasientansvarlig lege og pasientansvarlig sykepleier som vil ha hovedansvaret for oppfølgingen av deres barn i avdelingen, sammen med resten av teamet.

Bus

The bus stop SUS Ullandhaug is located at the square in the middle of the hospital, with a short distance to the main entrance.

Train

The nearest train station is Jåttåvågen station. From here, there is a bus that goes to SUS Ullandhaug. The bus ride takes about 10 minutes.

It is also possible to travel to Stavanger station and take a bus from there to the hospital.

The P5 parking garage for visitors is located at Leif Larsens gate 4. It is near the main entrance of building A.

The parking garage has accessible parking, charging spots for electric cars, and spaces for motorcycles.

There is accessible parking in parking garage P5 for visitors.

In addition, there is accessible parking along Leif Larsens gate, outside the main entrance of building A and outside the emergency reception.

There are several drop-off zones where passengers can be set down. You can find them in the following locations:

  • outside the main entrance of Building A
  • outside the entrance to Building B
  • outside the entrance to the ceremony room on the north side of Building B

Har du morsmelk til overs? Da kan du bli melkegiver.
 
Hvert år fødes det flere hundre premature og syke nyfødte på Stavanger universitetssjukehus. Morsmelk helt fra starten av, før mødrene selv har fått i gang melkeproduksjonen, bidrar til at flere premature barn overlever, og kan gi færre langsiktige komplikasjoner for babyen. Morsmelk fra melkegivere er derfor svært verdifull og høyt verdsatt.

Brød og pålegg står fremme i buffeten. Dere kan ta drikke og mat fra kjøleskapene i spiserommet. Hvis dere henter mat på kveld/natt, bruk engangsservise og rydd etter dere.

 

Kjøkkenet er kun for personalet.

​Hvem kan reise tidlig hjem?

  • Barn som er medisinsk stabile, men fortsatt trenger oppfølging fra nyfødtintensiv
  • Barn i spisetreningsperioden – altså barn som er kommet i gang med å spise noe selv, men fortsatt ikke klarer å få i seg hele døgnmengden (og trenger påfyll med sonde).
  • Barn med kronisk sykdom.

Oppfølgingen består av:

  • Hjemmebesøk mandag-fredag (07.30-15.30) av sykepleier fra nyfødtavdelingen.
  • Telefonkontakt - råd og veiledning 24 timer i døgnet.
  • Åpen retur til barneavdelingen ved behov
  • Legekontroll av nyfødtintensivavdelingens leger ved behov så lenge barnet følges opp fra avdelingen.

Foreldre har rett til all informasjon om sitt eget barn. Personalet har taushetsplikt og kan ikke svare på spørsmål om andres barn. Vi kan heller ikke svare på telefoner fra familie og venner uten samtykke fra barnets foreldre. Gi oss beskjed dersom noen skal besøke barnet ditt uten at du er tilstede.

  • We want to take care of the whole family while protecting the smallest and most vulnerable from infection.
  • Healthy siblings are welcome to visit you in the neonatal intensive care unit. Other children unfortunately cannot visit the neonatal intensive care unit.
  • All visitors must be completely healthy.
  • Visitors should not be exposed to infections (vomiting/diarrhea, herpes/cold sores, chickenpox, RSV virus, colds). Talk to the staff if you are in doubt.
  • Both younger siblings and other visitors must wash their hands thoroughly when they come to visit.
  • Siblings and other relatives can be with you in the room. Only parents and the admitted child may stay in the dining room.
  • Sick newborns and premature children need peace. Avoid loud talking and noise. Thank you for being considerate of the other families here.
  • During periods of high risk for infection spread in the general population, we have stricter visiting restrictions. The staff will inform you of what applies at any given time.
