The study showed that patients with non-typical stroke symptoms are recognized to a lesser extent by AMK ( Emergency Medical Communication Center).
As a result there are spend more time pre-hospital, which leads to delayed arrival at a hospital. The results point out the importance of AMK also being aware that patients who do not present with FAST symptoms may have a stroke.

New effective screening tools must be developed to recognize this group of patients.
