Over two rich and inspiring days, leading professionals from across the emergency medical chain gathered to discuss the future of prehospital services. The conference focused on how we can best renew, strengthen, and improve emergency care delivered outside the hospital setting.

The panel debate, including RAKOS’s contribution, became one of the highlights of the event. The discussion ranged widely—from critical questions about whether primary care is “simply renting out patients” to the specialist health service, to reflections on how AirBnB is influencing mental health in Tromsø. The debate was challenging, engaging, and highly inspiring, illustrating the breadth and complexity of the prehospital landscape.

The programme committee consisted of:

Steinar Olsen, Clinic Director, Oslo University Hospital – Prehospital Clinic;

Helen Brandstorp, Division Director, Norwegian Directorate of Health – Division for Municipal Services and Preparedness

Morten Dragsnes, Head of Department, St. Olavs Hospital – Clinic for Emergency and Reception Medicine, Ambulance Department

Thomas Lindner, Head of RAKOS;

Siri-Linn Schmidt Fotland, Researcher III, NORCE
