RAKOS Wins First Prize at EMS Talks 2025!
RAKOS – Regionalt Akuttmedisinsk Kompetansesenter, has been awarded first prize in the EMS Talks at the EMS2025 Congress in Stockholm.

We are proud to announce that Anna Moe Øvstebø, representing RAKOS – Regionalt Akuttmedisinsk Kompetansesenter, has been awarded first prize in the EMS Talks at the EMS2025 Congress in Stockholm. EMS2025 brought together professionals from across the globe to discuss the future of prehospital care—from AI in dispatch and climate resilience, to pain perception and system innovation.
The EMS Talks are TED-style format speeches, where 10 speakers present 10 different ideas in short, impactful sessions. Anna captivated the international audience with her thought-provoking talk on “The CPR Guarantee Paradox”, highlighting the complexities and different dimensions in the role of bystanders.
This recognition not only honors Anna’s dedication and insight but also shines a spotlight on the important work RAKOS is doing to advance emergency medical services in Norway and beyond. The award signals a growing interest in RAKOS’ innovative approaches throughout the Scandinavian and international EMS community.
We are especially proud that Anna’s talk presented one of RAKOS’ key initiatives: the Bystander Support System, offering support and follow-up to those who witness or assist in different emergencies.
Congratulations, Anna—and thank you for representing RAKOS with excellence and heart!
