Adrian Bruvoll Dretvik, a research and medical student at the University of Bergen, will present his sepsis project at the research line conference in Bergen, 31 October–2 November.
The study is affiliated with RAKOS and investigates how patients who are later diagnosed with sepsis are assessed throughout the prehospital emergency chain – from the emergency room to the ambulance and into the emergency department.

The project follows patients from the first emergency call and maps how serious infection is perceived and handled along the way, as well as how quickly antibiotics are given.
The goal is to uncover where in the process time can be gained, so that patients with serious infection receive effective treatment more quickly.
